2024 SBM Startup Jam

Help Dallas students turn their business dreams into reality

Thank you for considering making a donation to the SBM Startup Jam! Our consultants at Kelley Austin are coaching 50+ students across several teams at Marvin E. Robinson School of Business and Management (a local DISD high school), as they build out a business idea from scratch.

Students will pitch their business idea on stage in front of a panel of judges, where they'll receive a score and cash prizes to help make their business dreams a reality!

100% of your donation helps fund young, local entrepreneurs, who have big dreams of launching a thriving small business.

Donating is easy and secure. Any amount you can give, no matter how small, is greatly appreciated. Your contribution will help us to achieve our fundraising goal and make a meaningful difference in the lives of these students.

Building KAmmunity

"It's immensely rewarding to witness young minds light up with curiosity and enthusiasm as they explore the possibilities of creating their own businesses and making a positive impact on their communities. I'm especially excited to find even more creative ways to empower the next generation with the tools, knowledge, and skills to succeed in both business and life."

Alex Lenox
Director, People & Processes
“It is extremely fulfilling to be able to promote an innovative environment for our future business owners, engineers and beyond. I find myself leading by example but also learning from their unique perspectives individually.”

Angela Zhang
Solution Architect
“Engaging in entrepreneurship activities with a team is always a worthwhile experience from brainstorming to market research and product launch! Having the opportunity to work locally with young scholars is a great way to broaden your mindset into current trends while facilitating real-world environments for the team to consider.”

Garrett Burnett
Solution Architect
“Jillian and I are both excited to work with our students and support their growth. Neither of us had a typical education or career path, and hope that our perspective helps the kids develop in unique ways. We both believe that true innovation comes when you start thinking beyond the textbooks, and want these students to have no fear of developing beyond their comfort levels."

Will Philpot
Sr. Project Manager
“To quote Whitney's song lyrics ‘I believe the children are our future, teach them well and let them lead the way.’ It feels gratifying to be part of the larger picture that guides these students by honing in on their critical thinking skills and practical application. If they have an edge and a kick start to their futures, we all win.”

Chris Mary Edwards
Sr. Project Manager
“Having an impact on the young and bright future leaders in our community is a priority of mine and the Kelley Austin team as a whole. The opportunity to be a part of their growth and skills development for achieving their goals is such a rewarding experience. I’m excited to hear about the impact they will have on the community now and moving forward!”

Duncan Brady

"Working with these students has been so much fun! It is so exciting to hear their ideas and all of the passion they have."

Allison Long
